Rees was educated at Colorado College and the University of Wisconsin.  In 1975 he earned a B.A. degree in Communication Arts: Radio, TV and Film. Since 1979, through his company Candee Productions, Inc., Rees has written, filmed and edited a wide variety of commercials, marketing programs, social issue films, fundraisers, music programs, and interactive educational programs. His award winning programs have been nationally recognized and appeared on televisions across the nation.
