"I shot my first film at age ten with Dad's Bolex. When I saw the first reel projected on the screen I was hooked. I'm driven to find the heart of a story and to place it in the hearts and minds of the audience. My passion is to make the moments captured on film beautiful and significant for the viewer."

Rees Candee has written and produced a variety of marketing programs, social issue films, fundraisers, music programs, and commercials that have won many awards.

Rees is best known for creating intimate documentary programs of real people and events. Rees was educated at Colorado College and the University of Wisconsin and in 1975 he earned a BA degree in Communication Arts: Radio, TV and Film. In 1979, he founded Candee Productions, Inc.
